Our core curriculum provides students with academics, skill building, reading practice, as well as character training.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The core curriculum includes basic academic disciplines that focus on essential educational needs: Math, English, Literature and Creative Writing, Social Studies, Science and Word Building (spelling). Each core subject contains 156 units from kindergarten through Level 12. Exceptions are math (144 units), Word Building, and Literature and Creative Writing (for Grades 2 through 8). Some core courses are enhanced with DVDs, videos, computer software, projects and laboratory experiments.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\"  id=\"row-1003155251\">\n\n\t<div id=\"col-52792754\" class=\"col medium-3 small-12 large-3\"  >\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\" style=\"background-color:rgb(255, 207, 120);\" >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">MATH<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t<div id=\"col-961264363\" class=\"col medium-9 small-12 large-9\"  >\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #808000;\">Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, &amp; Calculus<\/span><br \/><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The mathematics curriculum provides a logical orderly method of taking the student from the known to the unknown. Each level moves student step by step, continually building on traditional grammar and usage concepts. Ongoing review and testing provide regular evaluation of the student&#8217;s progress in thinking, reading, and writing skills. Each unit integrates character building principles. The program includes extensive drill in the eight parts of speech with guided, step-by-step practice in research, essay writing, and the research process.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\"  id=\"row-1799219590\">\n\n\t<div id=\"col-1118795018\" class=\"col medium-3 small-12 large-3\"  >\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\" style=\"background-color:rgb(104, 2, 138);\" >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">WORD BUILDING<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t<div id=\"col-1921107463\" class=\"col medium-9 small-12 large-9\"  >\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-inner\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Word Structure and Spelling<\/span><br \/><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Word Building is a vocabulary controlled study of level appropriate words, root words, prefixes, suffixes, etc. Word Building increases students vocabulary base and reinforces their confidence and capability in spelling. Basic spelling rules are introduced and illustrated for the younger child. Younger students perform simple experiments that co-ordinate the text with parental involvement in the learning process. Fictional characters lead the students through foundational concepts of writing. Many opportunities are given for creative thinking and writing along with written comprehension exercises.<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In completing the literature course, older students get a sampling of the classics as well as more modern literature. With each book, they complete a study guide of questions, and in many cases, write an appropriate essay. English level IV provides students at the top end of the curriculum with examples and analyses of the best literature from various writers and literary periods of British and American literature.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Thai Language, Culture and History<\/strong><\/span> is one of core subjects offered at RPIS. It is a requirement of Thailand Ministry of Education that every international school in Thailand must teach Thai Language, Culture and History to all Thai and non-Thai students.
